When are classes? Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 7:40 pm. Thursdays, we split the classes up by rank: beginners come from 6:20-7:20 and intermediate from 7:20-8:20
Where are classes? Classes are held at the Aiken County Recreation Center, located at 917 Jefferson Highway (Aiken-Augusta Highway). The building is located directly by the highway and is exactly 2.5 miles past Aiken Technical College, if you are headed from Augusta to Aiken, and is 1 mile from Dick Smith's Chrysler Jeep, if you are leaving Aiken. It was called the Graniteville Center years back and has a large pool behind it and basketball courts to one side. See the map at the very bottom of this page.
How much are classes? Classes are $30 per month (for all belt levels). Many schools charge yearly association dues, testing fees, promotion fees, and countless other hidden costs, which can raise what you are paying substantially. At our school, there is only the $30 monthly fee.
Are there any payment contracts? No. Students pay on a month-by-month basis and may leave or drop out at any time (although we hope they stay).
Are there any testing or association fees? No. If a student takes a belt test and passes, the only cost will be the cost of the actual belt ($7) and may be purchased throught the instructor, online, or gotten from a friend of family member.
How many classes per week are included for my tuition? Two classes per week, and if there are any extra classes scheduled, those are included in the monthly rate.
What age groups does the school teach? Ages 8 and up. We generally do no teach younger than that due to personal opinions about teaching children that young, but the head instructor will recommend other schools if a parent insists that their child be taught at a younger age.
Who will be teaching the classes? The Head Instructor personally teaches all the classes. Guest black belts may come in to teach certain belt levels or specific topics, but will be supervised and watched by the head instructor.
